A wooden staircase leads to the large, light and spacious lounge. Here you will find that many of the original features of the building have been retained, including the colombage wall. From the two French windows you can enjoy a wonderful view of the meadows, chapel and the surrounding hamlet. In the lounge there is a TV/DVD player, games, books and plenty of information on local events, places of interest, maps and guide books. A few steps lead down from here to the hallway. Off the hallway and at the back of the house, there are two bedrooms and a shower room/wc. The first bedroom has a double bed, chest of draws and wardrobe and the second, has two single beds, a wardrobe and clothes storage space. Again, many of the original beams are exposed, and the skylights make these rooms light, airy and full of character. Next to the double bedroom is the toilet and shower. Through-out the gite, special attention has been taken to colour in order to accentuate the beauty of the natural wood internally and reflect the rich and colourful French landscape externally. All rooms - particularly the lounge and kitchen diner, are of generous proportions and provide a very spacious and light space in order to enhance your relaxation and enjoyment. On request, free range eggs and our home grown organic vegetables can be provided from the adjoining small holding where chickens roam free and goats enjoy ‘The Good Life Diary’. |
