Getting There

By Air
Pau airport is approximately 1hrs drive away, which is served with daily flights from London Stansted with Ryanair from as little as £28 return including taxes

Toulouse, which is less than 2 hours drive, has flights from various airports in the UK with Easyjet and British Airways (whose prices can be surprisingly good).

There is also an airport at Lourdes that is only 45 minutes away, but unfortunately it has limited flights from the UK.

SPECIAL NOTICE
From 25th May 2011 flybe will be flying from Southampton to Pau on a regular basis

Car hire is available at both airports from Avis, Europcar, Holiday Autos and Easycar among others.

By Ferry/Car

St. Malo is the most direct and closet Northern France port to the Gers, with sailings from Portsmouth with Brittany Ferries, leaving a car journey of some 8-9 hours. Alternatively, take the ferry to Santander with Brittany Ferries, or Bilbao with P&O Ferries, and drive up from Northern Spain, a journey of 5 -6 hours.
